About Joanna Campbell
Joanna Campbell is a highly experienced Registered and HMCTS Appointed Intermediary, trained and accredited with the Ministry of Justice. She has over 10 years' experience in the field and has completed more than 600 cases in the Criminal and Family Courts with vulnerable witnesses, defendants and respondents.
Joanna is a communication specialist with a background in Speech and Language Therapy. She has extensive experience of working with adolescents and adults with a range of learning difficulties and mental health conditions, as well as training other professionals in the field.
She has undergone several training courses relevant to the Intermediary role and completes ongoing Continuing Professional Development to keep her skills and knowledge up to date. Joanna has received excellent feedback from the work she has done, which can be read in the 'Testimonials' section of this site.

Joanna is passionate about enabling all vulnerable people to fully participate in the court process, including understanding the proceedings, giving their account, and making informed decisions regarding how their case progresses. As such, she has a very high standard of work at all stages of her involvement, from assessment and report writing, through to facilitating communication in the court environment. She feels strongly that consistency of Intermediary is important for vulnerable service users and, as such, strives to provide the highest level of commitment to any case that she becomes involved in.
